West Timor Refugee Camp Photos

We visited three refugee camps near Kupang in West Timor. The refugees living in the camps fled from East Timor during that country’s struggle for independence. Some refugees have lived in these camps for eight years.

An important reminder of the continued needs of refugees and displaced people in West Timor who appear to be now largely ignored by the Indonesian government and the international community.
