the #BLOTUS Probe

How many of you remember the old television ad for Prego Spaghetti Sauce?

“It’s in there!”

And Mueller’s investigation will find it all.

David Letterman on #BLOTUS

I have never been a big fan of David Letterman. But, that said, he nailed it with this comment.

We have never seen a more corrupt leader in the White House. We have never, at least in my lifetime, seen a president  that has demonstrated such incompetence, ignorance and blatant disregard for the Constitution. We have never seen a president that consistently lies, attacks the media, or creates such discord and divisiveness.

And this is on top of all of us realizing the absolute strangle hold that Putin has on the Lord of the Lies. This presidency will go down as the worst in our history, It cannot end soon enough. And, as Letterman stated, it’s time to stand up and demand he be held accountable. Enough is enough. Mueller cannot move fast enough.

#BLOTUS at the UN (part II)

This snapshot of those listening to Trump’s speech at the UN is priceless. It really does capture the moment better than words. This is what happens when a “dotard” gets to play in public.

a hundred ways to kneel

Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground. ~ Rumi

This beautiful quote by one of my favorite poets is especially meaningful to me this morning as I have been reading through the final printed proof of my newest book, The Language of Love. A book of ecstatic poetry in the Sufi tradition, it is my spin on contemporizing the attraction we all have for the great lover. I am planning to have the official release by the beginning of September, both for Amazon and Kindle.

a timely editorial

“The role of the rational opposition is to stand up for the rule of law, the electoral process, the peaceful transfer of power and the role of institutions; we should not underestimate the resiliency of a system in which laws are greater than individuals and voters are as powerful as presidents. This nation survived Andrew Jackson and Richard Nixon. It survived slavery. It survived devastating wars. Most likely, it will survive again.

But if it is to do so, those who oppose the new president’s reckless and heartless agenda must make their voices heard. Protesters must raise their banners. Voters must turn out for elections. Members of Congress — including and especially Republicans — must find the political courage to stand up to Trump.”
