with RIGHTS come RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach the anwsers to the U.S. Citizenship test regarding the rights and responsibilities of U.S. Citizens.

This is a good and timely reminder for all of us. For every right we have as a citizen of this great country, we also have responsibilities. We must never forget that the freedoms and the rights we have been given can be erased in a generation. Democracy only works if we take care of it and make sure it isn’t intentionally eroded.

Conservative Musings: Is This 1984 When Up Is Down, Legal Is Illegal, Ri...

Trump has not ceased to attack the Constitution since the day he took office. He doesn’t know it. He doesn’t respect it. He doesn’t want it, or anything else, to limit his greed and lust for absolute power and control.

I support the Constitution. That means I do not support Trump in any way, form or fashion. He has ignored his oath to protect the Constitution, and instead has consistently attempted to ignore it, get around it, and destroy it. That not only makes him unfit for office, it makes the lying pig both repugnant and deserving of impeachment.

Presidents’ Thoughts on Dissent

Although I have used most of these Presidential quotes before, I saw them all collected in a Facebook post and thought they were worth seeing again.

WHAT REAL PRESIDENTS THOUGHT ABOUT DISSENT

It is the very nature of fascism to wrap itself in the flag and then call any criticism of its crimes unpatriotic. Here is a trip down memory lane -back to the days when we had real presidents who at least partially understood that dissent is the patriotic duty of citizens to call our nation to a higher standard.

“Here in America we are descended in blood and in spirit from revolutionists and rebels – men and women who dare to dissent from accepted doctrine. As their heirs, may we never confuse honest dissent with disloyal subversion.” -Dwight D. Eisenhower

“Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.” -Harry S. Truman

“Without debate, without criticism no administration and no country can succeed and no republic can survive.” -John F. Kennedy

“These economic royalists complain that we seek to overthrow the institutions of America. What they really complain of is that we seek to take away their power. Our allegiance to American institutions requires the overthrow of this kind of power. In vain they seek to hide behind the flag and the Constitution. In their blindness they forget what the flag and the Constitution stand for.” -Franklin D. Roosevelt

“I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical.” -Thomas Jefferson

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.” -Theodore Roosevelt

“they must answer for their silence”

The shocking silence of the House and Senate Republicans in response to the racist and misogynistic rants of the self-avowed sexual predator now fouling the White House demonstrates their fulsome and complete complicity with the scumbag-in-chief. Their betrayal of their sworn duty to uphold and defend the Constitution demands an accounting.

2020 cannot arrive quick enough.

a reason to be afraid

Every action that the whore-mongering liar-in chief takes that attacks the rule of law should set off alarm bells. Every violation of every democratic norm by this lying, racist pig should make us more fearful.

#Blotus wants to be a dictator. His every action shows his utter disdain for the Constitution and the rule of law. And his admiration, love, and complete infatuation with Putin and other authoritarian strong men is sickeningly obvious the the entire world.

Our country needs to wake up to the clear and present danger posed by this egotistical and totally immoral slob. Those who still support him need a serious history lesson, and they need it as soon as possible.

dictator love: a clear pattern

Our cowardly, whore mongering pig of a president is a bully and a wannabe dictator. He considers himself above the law and has absolutely no respect for our Constitution or the democratic principles of our country. He demonstrates this in everything he says and in all his actions.

Why do the Republicans in the House and Senate still protect him? Their inexplicable support for this lying pig makes them complicit in his crimes and his traitorous activities.

ever was it so…

I consider it shameful when a 4th of July celebrating the founding of our nation is hijacked by a whore-mongering racist who the entire world knows is an egotistical lying pig driven by greed and controlled by the Kremlin.

What increases the shame is that the Republicans in both the House and the Senate have sold their souls to suck up to this ignorant slob. Refusing to fulfill their oath to support and defend the Constitution paints them as big a bunch of cowardly traitors as the liar-in-chief, himself.
