I do not give a damn what laws are on the books. Anyone not condemning such treatment of those seeking protection and asylum in our country is complicit with such blatant hatred and racism.
Trump’s greatness is the greatness of Nazi Germany, Stalin’s Russia, or any other dictator you care to name. There’s a vast difference between greatness and evil. And perpetrating evil never leads to greatness…never.
Editorial cartoonist, Ted St. Godard got fired for this cartoon. He was fired for doing what editorial cartoonists are paid to do. This is yet one more direct attack on the freedom of the press.
I applaud Ted St. Godard for keeping a bright light shining on the immorality and racist policies of the Trump administration. More of us need to do the same.
Today we celebrate Father’s Day. And thousands of parents, both mothers and fathers, are having their children ripped from them. Trump’s America is no longer a place of safety for those fleeing persecution or violence. We are now a place where unspeakable cruelty is perpetrated through immoral, racist (and I would add, illegal) policies designed to deter those seeking protection.
If ripping families apart and child concentration camps are necessary to make America great again, maybe we need to redefine greatness. I grow ever more ashamed of my elected leaders for their complicity in supporting this corrupt administration
I have no difficulty in completely agreeing with Redford’s statement concerning Scott Pruitt. Like so many (the majority) of Trump’s Cabinet Appointees, he is a walking disaster bent on destroying the agency he is supposed to lead.
He doesn’t even attempt to hide his unbridled greed and corruption. Scott Pruitt needs to be fired, replaced, indicted and tried for crimes against the American people.
What is interesting to me is that this was the word of the day before #BLOTUS came into power.
If there isn’t a special place in Hell for those who willfully destroy the natural beauty of our beautiful planet, there should be. The unmitigated greed that blinds those raping our world’s natural resources is evil incarnate. Scott Pruitt, doing his best to dismantle the EPA is but one example.
When those we have elected to lead us fail as dismally as those we now have in leadership, they need to be removed as fast as legally possible and replaced with those who understand that they are elected to serve the citizens, to the other way around.
Words are insufficient to describe my shame over the lack of character displayed by those Senators who continue to support such a critically flawed human as Donald Trump. Such a complete absence of moral leadership deserves nothing but contempt and revulsion.
Those in Congress who refuse to speak up should not be allowed any position of political leadership. They are cowards at best, and treasonous at worst.
