love removes the masks

Love

Love is not just an euphoric high of emotions. Love is an intentional lifestyle that is lived out in every decision and in every moment. It is humbly attempting to model ones life in a manner that reflects the love, mercy and grace we have all been given. Love is just the recognition that our entire lives should be a unending thank you for the grace we have received without cost and without measure.

leadership 101

A real leader is a servant. A fake leader just uses lies, intimidation and brute force to get their own way, regardless of the cost to those they are supposedly leading. If an illustration would be helpful, take a look at the #BLOTUS.

He is the exact opposite of a real leader. He has become the “Lord of the Lies.” and the truth is never in him. His only concerns seem to be protecting his wealth and showing love to those attacking the democratic institutions of the United States, and his blustering attacks on the press and anyone else attempting to hold him accountable are a smoking gun in one tiny hand and a large red flag in the other.

Following this fake leader will not make America great again. He is already a public laughingstock among world leaders.

Our nation has lost its position of leadership in world affairs because we no longer have a real leader. We have a petulant man-child that needs to be adored, pampered and have someone change his diapers. That’s not a real leader.

Mother Teresa once said that true love doesn’t measure, it just gives without counting the cost. I totally agree with her. And what a perfect time of the year to accept and celebrate the incarnation of that love.

As we draw ever closer to the day Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, my prayer is that all of us, whatever our spiritual path may be, may come to the place where we find that true and perfect love that casts our fear. I pray that we go through that open that door which leads to peace and justice for all, and that we finally realize that we are all one gloriously disfunctional family.
