The lawyer for President of the United States has publicly declared that Trump could kill a public official and not be indicted. I expect that under a dictatorship or in a two-bit banana republic, not in a nation where the rule of law is honored.
Surely I am not alone in my outrage. When is this going to stop? It is time for us to decide what kind of country we want.
As more and more of the Republican in the House and Senate blindly join in lock-step to support #BLOTUS, we have to understand the depth of their treasonous behavior. They are putting self interest above their sworn duty. And they know that is what they are doing.
The president should be held fully accountable for all his disgusting words and actions. In my opinion that means impeachment and criminal charges. And if his toadies (is their a better word?) refuse to do their duty, they need to be removed from office and replaced with patriots.
If we do not use the gift of our citizenship we deserve what we currently have. And that is more than sad. It’s pathetic.
Even though he is now attempting to hide the amount of time he spends on the golf course, the BLOTUS has now racked up 75 days on the links since he took the oath of office. It is no wonder why our country is going to hell in a golf cart. Between tweeting and golf our racist, ego-maniacal occupant of the offal office has not time or energy left for anything but preening. If you doubt it, ask a friend in Puerto Rico.
The person now leading our nation has been in court over 3,000 times. Yet, he was still thought ethical enough and intelligent enough to lead our nation. That explains a lot, doesn’t it.
The majority just seems not to care about traditional American values like honesty, truthfulness, and caring for the other person. So now we have a egotistical braggart who lives by the lie doing his best to destroy our country.
The lies of #BLOTUS caught up with him enough so that he was taken to court over 3,000 times. Who will hold him accountable now?
We no longer have a president we can respect. We have a president we need to fear.
When I was younger I swore an oath to defend the United States, even giving my life if necessary to protect our freedoms and way of life. I have never rescinded that pledge. I am a patriot, and I respect the office of the President as the highest office in our country.
But, President Roosevelt was right. Being a patriot doesn’t mean one has to stand by a president who cannot tell the truth and whose ego is so warped that he is obsessed with his small hands, his small crowds, and his tiny margin of victory.
I do not want a reality show, ratings-driven egomaniac with his finger on the button. I want a a leader worthy of this nation. If BLOTUS truly represents the values we hold as a nation, I, for one, have to reconsider what it means to be a patriot.
