real leaders don’t need titles

Real leaders demonstrate their vision, their plans, their commitment and their power, through action. They consistently work to empower those around them through encouragement, coaching and positive reinforcement. Real leaders are definitely not perfect, but they are always committed to making a positive difference in the world and for the world.

Then there are others, like the #BLOTUS, who just seek power to enrich themselves. Their vision extends only as far as their mirrors and their checkbooks. Fake leaders are easily recognized by their whining, their sensitivity to criticism, and their pathological inability to accept responsibility.

No one is obliged to follow a fake leader. No one is required to respect a fake leader.

The good news is that there are real leaders who care and are willing to make a real difference. They are the ones who provide true hope for the future of our world.

We can ignore the fake leaders. Their is hope. All we need to do is to follow the real leaders.

enough for us all…

We all want to help one another, Human beings are like that. The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way. Greed has poisoned men's souls; has barricaded the world with hate; has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. Earth has enough for our need, but not for our greed.:

The new Health Care Bill passed by the House  yesterday is yet another example of how power corrupts and the greed of the wealthy knows no limits. Our nation sees less justice with each passing day for the poor, the marginalized, and the powerless.

Those of us who identify with the least of these among us, those of us who try to live lives modeled after the man of Nazareth, know that the answer to injustice is love. And the more radical that love, the more effective it is at ripping through the lies of those in power.

Now is the time for us to demonstrate faithfulness to the Gospel in everything we do and say. Now is when we must not be silent, but speak the truth to those whose disregard for justice threatens those who need it most.

when lady liberty goes under

We all know that climate change cannot be real, right? It’s all just another scare tactic cooked up by progressives to keep honest business folks from making a decent profit.

And doesn’t the “good book” tell us that God created MAN to have control over the earth? That means (according to the #BLOTUS), that we can grab whatever we want. Finally, we finally have a leader who can demonstrate the good life.

kissing the earth with our feet

Thich Nhat Hanh ..*:

In a world becoming more fragmented each day this is a gentle reminder that we need to be more conscious of the earth that sustains us. Our relationship with each other begins with our relationship with nature and our environment. We ignore both at our peril.

help us walk more lightly

Most gracious and loving Creator, how thankful we are this day for all your blessings. We confess that far too often we live in a way that doesn’t demonstrate our gratitude for your goodness and your mercy. We are not as good stewards of your perfectly created world as we would like to be. We are wasteful of the gifts you have given us and take the beauty that surrounds us for granted. Forgive us.

Help us to be better stewards of all you have entrusted into our care. Grant us the insight to understand how closely we are connected to each other and all living things, and then grant us the wisdom and the grace necessary to live accordingly. Help us to walk more lightly on the earth that sustains us, and help us to share the abundant resources to have given us with all those most in need. And in all our endeavors, both great and small, grant that all we do brings you both glory and praise. Amen
