The Republican Party is complicit. The judgement of history will not be gentle nor kind to those in power who refuse to curb the lying pig we now have in the oval office. Those Republicans that shamefully continue protecting the president by refusing to honor their oath of office need to be treated like the traitors they have become. They will get the dishonor they deserve.
This is only too obvious when one looks at the present leadership of our country. The already legendary ignorance of the racist, self-avowed whore-monger in the White House is matched only by his fear, greed and intolerance. It is a volatile combination that is a true existential danger to the values on which our nation was founded.
This is a powerful quote from our nation’s founding president, and it means many different things to those who read it. I would love to see your comments on what it means to you.
At the time it was written, civilian arms and ammunition were almost exactly the same as the arms used by the military. The major exception, of course, was artillery. The same is definitely not the case today.
The argument against assault weapons in the hands of civilians seems to fly in the face of Washington’s thoughts on the matter. How can a free people maintain their independence from a government using assault weapons if the citizens are not allowed to possess weapons of equal power?
Again, I would love to see a rational dialogue on the subject. Any comments would be appreciated.
Yesterday, when the House of Representatives voted to officially begin impeachment hearings on Trump, not a single Republican Congressperson voted in favor of the the hearings.
That speaks volumes as to their lack of values and to the greed, and to the fear that motivates them. None of us should forget they are all complicit in the crimes they are defending. At this point, they share the stench of the lying pig they are trying to protect.
