As our nation goes to the polls today it is worth remembering that the climate of fear, hate and lies that the current administration espouses is not permanent. We have the power to chose a better, more noble, path. I pray we take it.
The truth hurts…but it also sets us free.
The ongoing attacks against the poor in our country should be recognized for what it is: class warfare. And those leading these attacks should be held accountable.
Truth is where you find it, right? When I saw this photo it stopped me cold. I would not ever allow a child or a grandchild of mine say the things or act the way the Liar-in-Chief speaks and acts.
I am confounded that a third of our country sees the man as a leader and a good role model. His gross immorality and blatant lack of ethical behavior is abhorrent. Yet, numerous white evangelical leaders continue to choose him over the message of the Gospel.
Tomorrow night is the State of the Union Address. For the first time in history we need to make sure we protect our children from watching.
This powerful statement is engraved on the side of the Department of Justice Building in Washington, DC. It is always worth remembering, but especially in times when those in power are working so hard to undermine the precepts of a lawful society.
I fully support the fine men and women who have dedicated their careers and their lives to ensure our nation abides by the rule of law. The work of the Justice Department is critical to our freedom.
All those currently in power who are attempting to discredit and and undermine the efforts of the DOJ do so because they are afraid of the truth and fear justice being done. They neither believe in the supremacy of the law, or feel that the law applies to them.
They act as if they are above the law. Robert Mueller and the Justice Department will soon correct that very mistaken understanding.
