The GOP Tax Plan Illustrated

Sometimes it can be difficult to get our heads around the massive injustice of the GOP tax plan. The numbers are staggering, and the sheer immorality of the Republican leaders is beyond comprehension.

The illustration above is an attempt to give a graphic picture of the reality of what’s going down. #BLOTUS and his Republican cohorts are desperate for a win, and they are obligated to pay back their mega donors. This tax bill will do both while most of us will suffer the consequences.

Every concerned/outraged citizen needs to contact their representatives and shout/scream “NO.” And we need to do it now.

U.S favorability down everywhere but Russia

This is what happens when you have the biggest liar in U.S. as your leader. No one can trust him or us anymore. #BLOTUS is destabilizing the entire world while he flaunts his immorality and ignores the Constitution and all it stands for.

listing the Liar’s lies

When was the last time a US president’s lies filled an entire page of the New York Times? When has there been a time in our nation’s history when so many ignored the lies to continue supporting such a real loser?

The growing shame of our country is not the ignorance, greed and total immorality of #BLOTUS. The true shame of our nation is the willing acceptance and continued support of such a man by all those who do not care about the reality of what he is and what he grabbing.

a step backwards for humanity

 :

I have never met Graham Holloway, and I do not know anything about him. What I do know, however, is that he has a keen grasp of reality and isn’t afraid to tell the truth.

Mr. Holloway has expressed the unbelievable hypocrisy in our nation and called it what it is. The United States has given up on doing what is right and is moving both backward and downward.

I want a leader that exhibits basic morality and human decency, one who understands and embraces the concept of servant leadership.

the truth gets uglier with every lie

The President of the United States has the right to fire any appointee he desires. That is his prerogative.

What #BLOTUS does have the right to do, however, is to lie to the public about the reason for firing the Attorney General. The truth is clear, as are the facts. Sally Gates defied an immoral and illegal presidential order.  #BLOTUS axed her for standing up against his Muslim ban.

Good for her. She will not be the last victim of the vindictive and unstable person now consolidating his power of all of us. But she has demonstrated for the entire world the bullying tactics and the pathological lying for which Trump is so well known.

Thank you, Sally Gates. Your courage to stand firm in the face of wrong is an inspiration to all of us.

being hungry is not a sin

.:

Inequality continues to grow in the United States as the wealth being amassed the top one percent gets ever larger and more of the lower middle class is being pushed into poverty. This is not just and it is not sustainable in the long run.

At the same time this is happening we now have those that stridently blame the poor and hungry, demonizing them for being poor. This is not only wrong and totally mean-spirited, it shows a disregard for the truth and a lack of compassion that borders on being immoral.

sometimes it’s better to scream

We live in an age when values have changed, and continue to change. It is now acceptable to display boorish and uncivil behavior in public and even get applause for it. Today it is acceptable for public figures and nationally recognized political candidates to spew vindictive and racist remarks without fear of backlash.

I, for one, am tired of the hatred, the bitterness and repulsive rhetoric. I am reminded of the early days of Nazi Germany when Adolf Hitler used the same bombastic invective and appeal to fear to inflame his listeners.

We are better than that. When candidates for the highest office in the United States base their  campaigns on fear, on hatred, on racism, on indiscriminate destruction of entire populations, it is time to speak out.

I do not want a President who unabashedly flaunts immoral actions and behavior to appeal to the lowest common denominator. I do not want a leader who uses xenophobia and racial prejudices to appeal to the uneducated.

I may be in a distinct minority, but I remember a time when when such a person would be held up for ridicule and laughed off the stage. That such a clown is now taken seriously is a true indictment of the depths to which our nation has fallen.

If we elect such a man to lead our nation we deserve whatever befalls us.
