a sign of truth

Here is a person of faith that gets it. If only all white evangelicals could understand who they have strayed from the teachings of Jesus…

I agree. Do you?

Even a cursory examination of the Gospels, even the most superficial comparison of the teachings of Jesus Christ and the words and actions of the #BLOTUS, is enough to see how great and how deep the chasm between the two. Donald Trump is the perfect example of how a nonbeliever speaks and acts.

Discipleship and faithfulness to Jesus Christ is a way of life. It’s a lifestyle that is both observable and easily identifiable. Anyone who honestly believes that Trump is a Christian, or even a good person, has no concept of who Jesus was or what he demands of those who follow Him.

The fact that over 80% of white evangelicals voted him into office speaks volumes about the lack of Biblical literacy in our nation.  The continued support given to him by those in the church should be a wake-up call for believers everywhere.

How anyone can follow the Christ of the Gospels and support Donald Trump is literally beyond my limited comprehension. I am willing to be enlightened, but I will readily admit I will take some serious convincing.

We’re Number One

Listen to Bernie Sanders. Look at how the republicans are handing everything we've worked for over to the corporations as fast as they can!

It’s not always good to be number one, especially if we are playing the wrong game. Not all winners are champions.

I am reminded of the words of Jesus when he said the first shall be last. Worth remembering, don’t you think?

a friendly reminder

Mainline Protestant churches are in steady decline, and rightfully so. It is a heavy indictment against evangelical leaders when the vast and overwhelming majority of evangelical church members openly support someone whose morals and actions are diametrically opposed to Jesus Christ.

Not only is such a degree of Biblical illiteracy simply stunning, the complete unawareness of who Jesus was and His basic message is beyond my comprehension. Even more damning is the fact that most evangelicals do not care about Trump’s racism, lying, greed and basic immorality.

Churches filled with members who openly support the exact opposite of all Jesus did and taught are no longer churches of Jesus Christ. Call them whatever you wish. They deserve to be closed, and the sooner the better.
