A real leader is a servant. A fake leader just uses lies, intimidation and brute force to get their own way, regardless of the cost to those they are supposedly leading. If an illustration would be helpful, take a look at the #BLOTUS.
He is the exact opposite of a real leader. He has become the “Lord of the Lies.” and the truth is never in him. His only concerns seem to be protecting his wealth and showing love to those attacking the democratic institutions of the United States, and his blustering attacks on the press and anyone else attempting to hold him accountable are a smoking gun in one tiny hand and a large red flag in the other.
Following this fake leader will not make America great again. He is already a public laughingstock among world leaders.
Our nation has lost its position of leadership in world affairs because we no longer have a real leader. We have a petulant man-child that needs to be adored, pampered and have someone change his diapers. That’s not a real leader.
I can not remember any presidency in my seventy years that has been so dysfunctional, and such a total embarrassment to our country. What other of our nation’s leaders has been so unable to tell the truth? bragged about being able get away with murder? laughed about being a sexual predator? completed ignored the Constitution? wasted so much on vacations so fast? continually attacked the press? could not stop whining?
The real story isn’t the leaks. The real story is that the #BLOTUS is a one-man rolling crisis. He is frighteningly dangerous to the health, well being, and future of our nation. He is causing great concern, even alarm among our allies and has made the United States a laughingstock around the world.
And the backstory is even worse. His appeal to the lowest common denominator points out the serious, even fatal flaws in our society. Those supporting him are so wedded to his bigotry and clearly racist agenda that they are willing to ignore the truth.
The real story is that this president is a total disaster.
The Washington Post released a damning article that our president (who some are now calling our Leaker-in-Chief) actually gave the Russian diplomats highly classified and sensitive information during their recent visit to the White House. When finally confirmed, I will not be surprised.
One big question that I would like addressed is, ” Why did the #BLOTUS allow Russian press into his office when he wouldn’t allow US press to cover the meeting?” Some wags have said that at least now the Russians no longer have to be hacking us. Trump will just tell them whatever they want to know.
Is he more concerned with informing the Russians than he is the American public? If so, why?
Not a week goes by that we do not see ever more evidence that our leader is under the influence of those whose plans and efforts are not in our best interest. There’s far too much smoke; dark, heavy, billowing smoke, for there not to be a major fire in the oval office.
So the final question: Why hasn’t the fire department be called?
#BLOTUS is on a rampage. And the longer he is in office the higher the body count. Justice, compassion, equality and basic morality are all targets, just as soon as he finishes off the press and freedom of speech.
I recently allowed myself the pleasure of rereading Orwell’s 1984. I am so glad I did since we are now seeing it unfold right before us. We are actually entering into the virtual reality of living in the 1984 world.
Animal Farm is next on my reread list. Like 1984, I know I will enjoy the book again. And also like 1984, I know I am going to see lessons that are reflected in the world in which we now find ourselves.
I want to reread some of these classics while I still have the freedom to do so. The way things are going that might not be possible in the near future.
BLOTUS has been in office less than a full week, and the fourth estate is already “the opposition” and “the enemy.” First silence the press. Then silence free speech. Lie, lie, lie and keep on repeating the lies until even the absurd begins to sound reasonable.
And in the end, do whatever is necessary to eliminate dissent.
