I’ve spent the majority of my life working to end hunger. I know from personal experience that by working together we can change the world. It starts with speaking up for those who cannot be heard and standing up for those who cannot be seen.
Faulkner says it far better than I can. Read his quote again. But, achieving a world of peace and justice, a world where honesty, truth and compassion holds sway, is possible. We can achieve a world where caring trumps greed, lying, and hatred.
I want that world. Let’s stand up and speak out, and let us not be afraid to continue speaking out until we transform our world into a place where love truly trumps fear and hatred.
Maybe this should be the test of tax reform as well…just a thought. From all I’ve seen, the Republican Tax Bill does just the opposite.
We really don’t need to”help” our already profitable corporations and the wealthiest of the wealthy in our country. This tax plan doesn’t move us forward as a nation. It rewards the rich and ignores those needing help the most.
The Republican tax plan doesn’t make our country great, and it has nothing to do with progress. It is simply another demonstration of those in power paying back their wealthy backers. It is shameful at best, and morally repugnant to the core.
When I think of #BLOTUS, his family and cronies, this quote immediately comes to mind. Never in my lifetime have I witnessed such unmitigated intolerance, lying and corruption focused in the hands of so few and accepted by so many.
Even though it’s refreshing to see that Cabinet members do have at least a tenuous grasp on reality, Secretary of State Tillerson wasn’t quoted correctly. At least one source reports that he actually called the #BLOTUS “a F_ _ _ _ing moron.”
That makes more sense, and is a far more accurate description of his boss. Call ’em like ya see ’em Rex.
We all knew what #BLOTUS was before he was elected and we all know what he still is today. Yet, he was still elected to the highest office in the United States. Why?
Since his election has he done anything other than reinforce what we have known all along? I think not.
Why is he allowed to remain in office? Why is he allowed to continue embarrassing our country every time he opens his filthy mouth? Why doesn’t the Republican-led Congress hold him accountable for his lies and total disregard for the law? Why aren’t we all outraged enough to act?
I have never been more ashamed of my country’s leaders as I am today. Am I the only one?
