Love is not just an euphoric high of emotions. Love is an intentional lifestyle that is lived out in every decision and in every moment. It is humbly attempting to model ones life in a manner that reflects the love, mercy and grace we have all been given. Love is just the recognition that our entire lives should be a unending thank you for the grace we have received without cost and without measure.
The sad truth is all of us know the answer. And it’s a sobering reflection on how we have failed as a nation. Now, we will have to live, and possibly die, with the consequences.
The sooner this Liar-in-Chief can be legally removed from office the sooner sanity will return to or nation. And with his ratings at an all-time low and still dropping, hopefully it will be sooner rather than later.
Robert Mueller’s team of special investigators is closing in. It’s only a matter of time before the truth of the Big Cheeto’s collusion with Russia and the depth of his corruption will come to light and he can be seen as the traitor he is,
It is difficult for me to comprehend how the values of our nation have apparently changed. We seem to have thrown away our moral compass and are intentionally fleeing from the responsibilities that have long demonstrated our greatness.
I totally agree that we need to make our nation great again. But endorsing the bullying, selfish, xenophobic, and racist values of the president elect moves us further from that goal. The values of BLOTUS are not the values that will make America (or any other nation) great again.
Have we really come to the place where we have decided hate is better than love? Do we really want to live in fear rather than caring for those most in need? What has happened to our sense of justice for all and compassion for those in trouble?
We definitely need to look into a mirror. We need a rude awaking to see what we are becoming. The United States doesn’t need a wall. We need a heart.
