This quote from George Orwell’s 1984 seems eerily relevant today, doesn’t it? It has become ever more clear that power is the one thing, the only thing, that matters to the #BLOTUS and the Republicans in Congress.
If you need an example, which most thinking folks don’t at this point, just look at the complete Republican support of Roy Moore to fill the Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions. Having another Republican vote in the Senate outweighs any question of improper or immoral behavior.
The many-times accused molester in the Offal Office has said that having a Republican like the accused child molester, Roy Moore, in the Senate is far preferable to having a Democrat, any Democrat, fill the seat. Moore not only has been accused by numerous women of involvement with them as young and underage girls, the man has twice been removed from his seat as Judge.
None of that matters. All that matters, the only thing that matters, is power, pure power.
Haven’t we seen enough to realize that we have been attacked by the Russians? This is not a partisan issue. Our electoral process was severely compromised, and it was accomplished by Russia with the help of the #BLOTUS and his inner circle. It truly appears to be far more than just collusion.
When a foreign power attacks the United States, that has always been known as an act of war. When a citizen or citizens of the United States provide aid to an enemy of the United States, that has always been known as treason.
The United States has strict laws against treason. Isn’t it time that ALL MEMBERS of the United States House and Senate do there job and bring appropriate charges against all those involved?
And, if our elected officials refuse to act, for whatever reason, partisan or other, every one of them needs to be held accountable at the polls, if not face charges of aiding and abetting treasonous activities themselves.
Am I the only one that feels this strongly? I would love to hear your thoughts on the subject.
This isn’t democracy at work…it is unadulterated greed; partisan politics working to benefit the wealthy, with no pretense of helping those in our society with the greatest need. Every senator voting for this bill is sending a clear and unambiguous one-finger salute to the vast majority of our nation.
