Actually, I might call this either truth in advertising or a political warning label. But whatever it’s called it’s priceless.
Place your bets! It’s the #BLOTUS the DOTARD vs, ROCKET MAN in a Nuclear Heavyweight Stupidity bout. Who will survive with the title of “Destroyer of the World”?
I am not a betting man, but my odds go to the “Big Pumpkin.” The North Korean contender definitely has some bat shit crazy moves, but the Liar-in-Chief has age, experience and complete ignorance on his side.
Rational, thinking people around the globe have no difficulty seeing the #BLOTUS for what and who he really is. And because they see the truth, they can also understand how he is destroying our nation.
My question is simple. If people around the world can recognize an egotistical, lying, racist, why can’t his Republican supporters recognize it as well?
I’m afraid the answer is just as simple. Supporters of the #BLOTUS obviously agree with him.
They do not care about his collusion with Russia to pay off his massive debts. To them, #BLOTUS is more important than the future of our country.
That’s not patriotic. That’s stupid…if not treasonous
Those that have never experienced the horror of war are most often those that are war’s loudest advocates. Once you have experienced the senseless brutality and unbelievable violence of war your view of war and of the world is never the same.
Most veterans do not talk willingly of their combat experience. Some things are best left unspoken, and forgotten as much as possible.
I first became aware of Howard Zinn when I came home from my humanitarian assessment trip to Iraq before the Second Gulf War. His voice was one that could not be ignored in it’s opposition to the cacophony of lies and half-truths trumpeted by the US administration for the need to invade Iraq. His fearless attacks against the rampant stupidity being promoted won him a place as one of my favorites.
I was surprised and delighted to find that Zinn is also a favorite of Willie Nelson. As I was reading Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die, I came across this powerful quote.
Civil disobedience is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of leaders…and millions have been killed because of this obedience….Our problem is that the people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity and war and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves…and the grand thieves are running the country. That’s our problem.
Zinn is right. We are mostly like sheep and far too obedient for our own good. There is no righteousness in allowing evil to flourish and remaining silent in the face of injustice. Never doubt that authority always needs to be questioned, sometimes confronted, and when necessary…even disobeyed.
