This September 11th, on the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, one of the orders of the day at brokerage firm BGC Partners in New York City will be investing in efforts to feed people in need throughout the world.
Brokers will be joined on the trading floor by Paulina Vega, Miss Universe 2014, and Rod Brooks, president and CEO of Stop Hunger Now, during the 11th annual BGC Charity Day. Miss Vega and other celebrities will work side-by-side with BGC traders to encourage others to give with their hearts to help Stop Hunger Now end global hunger.
BGC launched Charity Day to commemorate the 658 employees at Cantor Fitzgerald and the 61 employees at Eurobrokers who lost their lives in the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks. BGC donates all of its global revenues on Charity Day to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund and select charities, including Stop Hunger Now, throughout the world.
Join us in keeping alive the spirit of unity and compassion
that arose in the aftermath of 9/11.
