Collusion with an enemy is treason. Allowing a president to continue supporting and defending a country and a leader that is attacking our country is treason. Supporting and defending a president engaged in treason is complicity.
If you need examples, look no further than the Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee voting to shut down the incomplete and deeply flawed investigation into Trump’s relationship with Russia. They, and every member of Congress that is still standing with Trump, are complicit in his crimes against our nation.
Everyone of those refusing to call Trump to account needs to suffer the full consequences of such traitorous actions. Offering aid to our enemies is treason. Protecting our enemies is treason. Keeping traitors in office is complicity in treason.
Never have we needed the American people to stand up for the rule of law more than at this time in our history. We must lift up the Constitution.
We must not be afraid to speak the truth when we see it. We can not afford to turn a blind eye to the dismantling of the values in which we have always believed.
When a sitting president takes the side of the enemy of the United States over his own intelligence services, that is treasonous. When that president refuses to enforce sanctions that Congress overwhelmingly passed against that enemy, that is treasonous.
When a president refuses to defend our country, he is not only derelict in his duty, he is a traitor that should be immediately removed from the office he daily dishonors.
When I was nineteen I took an oath to defend my country against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. That oath didn’t have a time limit. Trump needs to be impeached.
This is where I stand. What about you?
The ongoing Russia attacks on our democracy is a clear and present danger. In response, heavy sanctions were overwhelmingly passed by Congress. Trump has refused to implement the sanctions. WHY?
The refusal of the president to protect our country against known attacks on our nation is a clear dereliction of duty. He has continually attacked all our intelligence, law and justice agencies, yet will not say even one critical word concerning Russia.
He is serving Russia’s interest far more that the interest and safety of the country he was elected to protect. When is his obviously dangerous preferential behavior going to be checked?
When is this lying, racist Russian lackey going to be condemned as the traitor he is? When is he going to finally going to be impeached?
Somehow, it doesn’t seem right that the #BLOTUS should be allowed to continue ignoring the wishes of Congress. Just like, Is there no accountability? Trump needs to be impeached as rapidly as possible. He is a traitor that cares for no one but himself.
Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, a co-author of the Federalist Papers — and an immigrant himself — argued that “high crimes and misdemeanors” could be defined as “abuse or violation of some public trust.” This president has clearly already exceeded these standards. Congress has impeached past presidents for far less.
