Right is right. Wrong is wrong. And adults should know the difference.
None of us should be so blinded by patriotism that we knowingly accept lies over the truth. And none of us should wrap ourselves in the flag to protect criminals who commit treason.
Those that do, especially our leaders elected to represent us, are complicit in this treason. Every one of them should be prosecuted as traitors.
Collusion with an enemy is treason. Allowing a president to continue supporting and defending a country and a leader that is attacking our country is treason. Supporting and defending a president engaged in treason is complicity.
If you need examples, look no further than the Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee voting to shut down the incomplete and deeply flawed investigation into Trump’s relationship with Russia. They, and every member of Congress that is still standing with Trump, are complicit in his crimes against our nation.
Everyone of those refusing to call Trump to account needs to suffer the full consequences of such traitorous actions. Offering aid to our enemies is treason. Protecting our enemies is treason. Keeping traitors in office is complicity in treason.
Never have we needed the American people to stand up for the rule of law more than at this time in our history. We must lift up the Constitution.
We must not be afraid to speak the truth when we see it. We can not afford to turn a blind eye to the dismantling of the values in which we have always believed.
When a sitting president takes the side of the enemy of the United States over his own intelligence services, that is treasonous. When that president refuses to enforce sanctions that Congress overwhelmingly passed against that enemy, that is treasonous.
When a president refuses to defend our country, he is not only derelict in his duty, he is a traitor that should be immediately removed from the office he daily dishonors.
When I was nineteen I took an oath to defend my country against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. That oath didn’t have a time limit. Trump needs to be impeached.
This is where I stand. What about you?
Human rights are violated when a tax reform plan lines the already bulging pockets of the rich at the cost of life-saving services for the poor. Human rights are violated when corporations are given precedence over the hungry.
The Republican leaders in Congress have clearly demonstrated that they are unafraid of violating human rights on a massive scale. Their willingness to promote and support unfair economic structures for their own benefit is even more morally repugnant than their continued support and protection of a traitorous president.
Those guilty of either or both should be legally removed from office and tried for treason.
