The harm this man, and this man alone has done and is continuing to do to the United States and our allies verges on the unbelievable. He intentionally abandoned our Kurdish allies and caved in to Turkey. He has given Syria and the Russians the control they were seeking.
And for the US and our allies his has brought the shame and disgrace of turning our backs on valued partners in the fight against terrorism. This man, in his unmatched wisdom, is a traitor to the United States and all the values we hold dear. He is a clear and present danger to our democracy and the rule of law.
There is a power in simplicity. Living more simply not only honors our home, it demonstrates that we care for others and know the necessity and the joy of sharing the world’s finite resources. At its heart, living more simply is deeply spiritual.
Poverty exists because we lack community. There is no true sense of all being part of one family serving and caring for one another. Those of us with more of the world’s resources than we need refuse to share the life-saving necessities with brothers and sisters who are daily dying for their lack of what we waste.
I have posted this quote in the distant past, but sometimes we all just need a little reminder. God created our world perfectly. That means there is truly enough for all. The secret is sharing instead of hoarding…and yes, it really is that simple.
